Professional Biography

Bryan is a poet, fiction writer, essayist and literary scholar. He is the author of three collections of poetry, Etymology, A History of Glass, and Native Bird; a collection of short stories, Ephraim's Eyes; and the scholarly monograph Resistance to Science in Contemporary American Poetry. He teaches 139.123 Creative Writing, 139.229 Writing Poetry and 139.760 Wriiting Lyric Poetry: Blurring the Boundaries. His supervision interests include poetry writing, fiction writing and contemporary poetry and poetics.
