
Massey food expertise is working with industry and society to achieve better outcomes through applied and relevant scholarship. We specialise in the areas of food technology, biosciences and nutrition.
We are based on Massey University's Manawatū and Albany (Auckland) campuses.
Our graduates develop theoretical and practical knowledge and are in high demand in the international food industry. Short courses, including brewing, are available to industry and the general public. We also have food technology kits for schools to support food technology teaching.

MasseyFood staff expertise spans all sectors of the food industry, with particular emphasis on nutrition, post-harvest technology, engineering processes, product development, sensory and food safety. Many have worked for food manufacturing companies and maintain close contact with the food industry and academia.
