About MasseyFood

Massey food expertise is working with industry and society to achieve better outcomes through applied and relevant scholarship. We specialise in the areas of food technology, biosciences and nutrition.

We are based on Massey University's Manawatū and Albany (Auckland) campuses.

Study

Our graduates develop theoretical and practical knowledge and are in high demand in the international food industry. Short courses, including brewing, are available to industry and the general public. We also have food technology kits for schools to support food technology teaching.

Research

Our research expertise covers the underlying food science and chemistry to nutrition and the processing of the final products in our food laboratories and food pilot plant. We have staff with expertise in meat, dairy, carbohydrate and fruit and vegetable-related areas.
