Natural and Mathematical Sciences

The Institute of Natural and Mathematical Sciences, based on Massey's Albany, Auckland campus, generates, disseminates and preserves scientific knowledge of the highest quality. We coexist with the New Zealand Institute for Advanced Study, and together have a formidable research and teaching reputation.

Study

We offer an education that combines rigorous academic study and the excitement of discovery with the support and intellectual stimulation of a diverse community in a unique interdisciplinary atmosphere.

Research

The institute has strength across the sciences, with exceptionally high-calibre research leadership in all its disciplines, and a number of world-leading research groups.

Community outreach

We have a high degree of community engagement, particularly with the schools of the North Shore region. We will be at the MOTAT Science Street Fair on 3 April. Come and see us!
