I am a senior lecturer in the Institute of Education at Massey University. I teach in the areas of e-learning and educational psychology. I am presently the coordinator for the following programmes:
Prior to taking up my position at Massey, I have taught in the polytechnic and secondary school sectors. I have also been a technology training and support advisor in the business sector.
My research centres around e-learning and focuses on the intersection of technologies and pedagogies and their influence on learners’ and teachers’ experiences, motivation, engagement and behaviour in a variety of places and spaces of learning. Research interests include motivation and engagement in digital environments, teaching and learning with digital technologies, support for digital learners, digital places and spaces of learning that encompasses new learning environments, and the use of digital tools such as electronic portfolios and mobile technologies.
