How to apply for Clinical Psychology Training

If you are applying for selection for Clinical Psychology Training you must:

  1. Complete four copies of the Application form for Selection into Clinical Psychology Training (use the same form for DClinPsych and MClinPsych)
     
  2. Include four sets of the following:
    a). Curriculum vitae with photograph
    b). Verified academic transcripts (if your qualifications were not obtained from Massey University)
    c). Brief personal statement
    Attach a copy of the Application form for Selection into Clinical Psychology Training to the front of each set.

  3. Complete two copies of the Request for Confidential Referee Report and send one to each of your referees.

Submit the completed Application form for Selection into Clinical Psychology Training, completed confidential referees' reports and supporting documentation to:

Interviews with shortlisted applicants

Interviews with shortlisted applicants will take place at each of the campuses. Details regarding the interview process will be sent to shortlisted candidates before the interview. Please note that on the application form there is an option to state your preferred campus for interview.

Restricted entry to courses

The clinical courses have restricted numbers, and students selected for the Clinical Training Programme will have places reserved in these courses. Students not selected for the Clinical Training Programme may apply for clinical courses until 5pm on 7 January 2018. On 12 January the school will consider all applicants for restricted courses. The Head of School will approve enrolments to a maximum of 30 students per course.
You will then be advised of the outcome of your enrolment in restricted courses. If you are unsuccessful in obtaining a place in the clinical courses, you will be advised of the timeframe you have to enrol for replacement postgraduate psychology courses.
