Value and tenure
The value of the Scholarship will be $1,200 plus $300 accommodation allowance.

The scholarship is tenable for one year. 

Typical number on offer
Typically two scholarships will be awarded per year 

Applicants must:
be studying full-time in the Bachelor of Veterinary Science
be enrolled their fourth year of study towards their veterinary degree
have a particular interest in large animal veterinary science.

Selection criteria
The selection will be based on the following to be supplied with the application:
a statement why the applicant wishes to pursue a career in large animal veterinary science
results from the previous two years of study
details of any other scholarships, awards or allowances which the applicant is in receipt of.

Selection panel
The scholarship is awarded by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Directors of the Hunterville Veterinary Club

Conditions of the scholarship
It is expected that the successful candidate shall participate in 2 weeks seeing practice with the Hunterville Veterinary Club sufficient to satisfy the term of study for the degree of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science

The scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarship or award, provided this is not considered by the Scholarship Committee to constitute a conflict of interest.
