The Massey Business School Bachelor of Retail and Business Management Bursary supports people working in the retail industry who wish to study retail and business management.

Value and tenure
The value of the bursary is a contribution of 50% of tuition fees (inclusive of the 10% discount for students from The Warehouse) up to a maximum of $1500.

The tenure is for a single academic year in the year the bursary is awarded.

Payment is made in two instalments upon confirmation of enrolment in semesters one and two, following the official withdrawal dates for these semesters.

Typical number on offer
Five bursaries are offered each year.

Applicants must be eligible, and intending, to enrol in a Bachelor of Retail and Business Management and must be working in the retail industry at the time of application.

Applicants need to meet the entry criteria for the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management.

Selection criteria
Selection will be based on enrolment in the Bachelor of Retail and Business Management and a 300-word statement from the applicant why they deserve the bursary.

Selection panel
The bursary is awarded by the University Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of a Massey Business School selection panel consisting of the Director Teaching and Learning, a member of academic staff, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor or delegate.

The University Scholarships Committee has the right to refrain from making an award if there are no suitable applicants and its decision is final.

Conditions of the bursary

The bursary may be held in conjunction with any other Massey University bursary or scholarship, so long as those bursaries or scholarships permit co-tenure.

Payment for semester two is conditional on the successful completion of semester one study.
