Level of study

The purpose of the postgraduate scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding women who undertake post-graduate study or research.

Graduate Women New Zealand believe in empowering women. We do this through education, advocacy and community.

Value and tenure
A one-off grant of $4,00 to $8,000
The scholarships are tenable for one year.

Typical number on offer
Ten to twelve dependent on funding available each year.

Applicants must be:
•Masterate or final year Postgraduate Honours students
•Enrolled at Massey University.
•New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.

Selection criteria
The selection will be based on:
•Academic profile and achievements
•Financial situation
•Personal profile (Please state in 500 words or less your research/career goals and how your research will benefit New Zealand and New Zealanders)

Selection panel
The selection process is undertaken by Graduate Women Manawatū Charitable Trust whose decision is final.

Conditions of the scholarship
The Graduate Women Manawatu Postgraduate Scholarship can be awarded to an individual once only during a student's programme of postgraduate study.

By submitting an application, the applicant consents to:
•The disclosure of their personal information to staff within the University and members of Graduate Women Manawatu Charitable Trust selection committee, for the purpose of assessing the application
•Graduate Women Manawatu Charitable Trust publishing the names of successful applicants on its website
•Graduate Women Manawatu Charitable Trust forwarding the name and contact details of successful applicants to Graduate Women Manawatu for the purpose of introducing the successful applicant to Graduate Women NZ and relevant branch.

31 March.
