This bursary was established in 2014 by the Auckland Agricultural & Pastoral Association, an organisation that has been operating since 1843 under a guiding principle to promote excellence in the fields of agricultural and veterinary science. It is named after Maurice Carter, who was first elected to the council governing the Association in 1965, and he has been serving on the Council ever since in a variety of roles, including 20 years as treasurer.
We're looking for candidates who will be first-year students in the application year. You will be available to undertake animal husbandry work at the Auckland Easter Show as a recipient of this bursary.
These are undergraduate bursaries. You will be studying a degree in agriculture or veterinary science.
When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic achievements.
Eligibility
You must:
- have attended secondary school in Auckland
- undertake work at the Auckland Easter Show as outlined in this bursary's terms
