Ted Delahunty Agribusiness Bursary

The Ted Delahunty Agribusiness Bursary was established by the Ted Delahunty Trust. Mr Delahunty was a senior lecturer in Massey University's School of Accounting and Finance from 1978 to 1986. On his retirement, he established the Ted Delahunty Trust to provide education and research into accounting and other business activities for the land-based primary industry. He died in 2015.

We're looking for high achieving students who are facing financial hardship.

This is an undergraduate bursary. You will be in the final year of the Bachelor of Agribusiness (formally Bachelor of AgriCommerce).

When selecting our recipient we will consider your financial need. We will also consider your character and good citizenship.

Eligibility

You must be:

  • a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • enrolled in the final year of the Bachelor of Agribusiness
  • studying on the Manawatu campus

Application checklist

Please include the following with your application:

  • a character reference from someone who can comment on your circumstances
  • a personal statement illustrating your financial hardship and how you meet the intentions of this bursary
  • a budget outlining your annual expenses and any predicted earnings, including other scholarships or bursaries
