Mr Kenneth Arnold North was the founding principal of Palmerston North Teachers College, which was first established in 1956. Mr North bequest an endowment to the Teachers College at Palmerston North to provide financial assistance to students of the former Palmerston North Teachers College to undertake a course of study in New Zealand. This scholarship is named in his honour.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a fully registered teacher and who is advancing their education to achieve their career goals and who is passionate about contributing to giving back upon graduation.

What you'll be studying

This is a postgraduate scholarship. You will be enrolled in a minimum of 30 credits per semester and be intending to complete your qualification in the year of the award.

Eligibility criteria

You must:

  • have completed your pre-service teacher training at Massey University
  • be a fully registered teacher
  • be employed as a teacher or in a New Zealand educational facility
