The HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarships seek to help prepare New Zealand for an ageing future by enabling research into ageing.
What you'll be studying
This is a postgraduate scholarship. You will be enrolled in a master's degree or doctorate. You will undertake research in a topic related to ageing and its effects on individuals and society.
Eligibility criteria
You must be:
- undertaking research in a specific subject area
- a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Note, while the HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarship are tenable by students who are New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of New Zealand, there is however discretion to also consider applications from international students of merit, who are doing postgraduate research study at a New Zealand University.

- willing to acknowledge the Foundation on your research outputs.
Application checklist
Include the following with your application:
- a brief two-page outline of the proposed research
- evidence that ethical approval for the proposed research has been applied for or approved
- an indication of budget and how the grant will be spent
- a statement outlining the relevance of your research to the ageing population and to the HOPE Foundation for Research on Ageing Scholarship objectives.

When choosing our recipient, we will consider your academic achievements and the relevance and quality of your proposed research project.
