The Pacific Science and Technology Scholarships support new Pacific students entering tertiary study for the first time. The scholarship is valued at $5,000 per year for up to four years; a total of $20,000 across the recipients' time at Massey.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for New Zealand citizens or permanent residents of Pacific descent. You will have been involved in the local community through community service or community engagement, and will be of good character and well-rounded personality.
What you'll be studying
These are undergraduate scholarships. You will be enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree related to the following disciplines related to applied science or technology including:
- Bachelor of Science
- Bachelor of Construction
- Bachelor of Agricultural Science
- Bachelor of Horticultural Science
- Bachelor of Information Sciences
- Bachelor of Veterinary Science
- Bachelor of Aviation
- Bachelor of Food Technology with Honours
Application checklist
Include the following with your application:
- a character reference supporting your participation in community service and commitment to community engagement (for example, church, sports, or local community)
- a statement from you on how this scholarship would help you successfully complete your study at Massey
- transcripts for any study complete to date. If you are studying NCEA please attach your School results Summary from the NZQA website at https://secure.nzqa.govt.nz/for-learners/records/login.do . On the My School Entries and Results page, click the 'view as pdf' (button on the right-hand side) to save this document.
