Te Kunenga ki Pūrehuroa Massey University’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) is ranked in the top 10 in Oceania and first equal in New Zealand. The programme also moved into the 201–250 band worldwide. The online MBA has been ranked also for the first time, coming in the top 100 globally.
The Masters in Business Analytics advanced into the 101–150 international ranking band, and 19th place for programme diversity.
Massey’s Masters in Finance moved up to be ranked in the 151–200 band, marking its entry onto the world stage in this subject.
All three programmes scored at the top end for Research Impact. The MBA scored 93.1 percent for Research Impact, Masters in Finance scored 98.7 percent and Masters in Business Analytics scored 86.8 percent, reflecting the world-class quality of Massey’s research.
The QS rankings are among the most influential globally, drawing on insights from tens of thousands of academics, employers and alumni. They provide an independent measure of how well business schools prepare students for leadership and success in an increasingly competitive global market.
Massey Business School Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Jonathan Elms says the results reflect the School’s commitment to excellence.
“To see Massey Business School programmes rise in these respected global rankings is a testament to the quality of our teaching, research and student experience. These results highlight the impact our graduates are having on business and society, and they reinforce our position as a leader in business education in Aotearoa and the wider region”
Professor Elms says the rankings also shine a light on areas of particular strength for the School.
“Our performance in areas of diversity, research and employability isn’t just about rankings — these are values that underpin everything we do. They shape the opportunities we provide for our students and the reputation our alumni take into their careers worldwide,” Professor Elms says.
With business education becoming increasingly competitive, Massey’s rise in the QS rankings demonstrates the School’s ability to deliver programmes that meet international standards while staying connected to New Zealand’s unique context.
