The Massey Business School offers these scholarships to recognise and support future leaders. At least one quarter of the scholarships will be awarded to Māori and Pasifika students.
We're looking for school leavers with leadership potential. You will have been a leader of a school academic or cultural group or captain of one of the school’s sports teams or a leader within a community group or organisation.
These are undergraduate scholarships. You will want to study one of these programmes:
- Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Accountancy
- Bachelor of Aviation
- Bachelor of Aviation Management
- Bachelor of Communication (with a major in Communication Management, Marketing Communication, Public Relations or Journalism)
- Bachelor of Agribusiness
- Bachelor of Sport Management
When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic achievements and leadership skills and potential.
Eligibility
You must:
- have held a leadership position at school or outside of school
- have attained your NCEA Level 2 certificate at Year 12
- be clearly capable of achieving University Entrance, in your school's opinion
- be a school leaver
- be studying full-time
- be studying specific programmes
- be a New Zealand citizen
Application checklist
Please include the following with your application:
- examples and evidence of your leadership experience
- a brief statement (150 words) outlining what your future goals are in relation to your study
- a written statement (300 words) indicating why you think you should be awarded this scholarship; expanding on your leadership achievements
- a statement from the Year 13 Dean or Principal confirming that they believe you are clearly capable of achieving University Entrance at the end of this year (if applicable)
- a supporting statement from the Year 13 Dean or Principal confirming your leadership roles in the school, or, a supporting statement by a leader of the community group or organisation confirming your leadership roles within the organisation
