The funds for the Bootten Bequest Bursaries were endowed to Massey University from the estate of the late Mrs C Bootten, for the purpose to provide financial assistance to students to enable those students to complete the study for which they are enrolled. Mr and Mrs Bootten farmed for many years in Eltham, Taranaki

We're looking for students who are facing financial hardship or other circumstances that may hinder them from progressing in their studies.

Eligibility criteria

You must:

  • be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • be studying full time
  • be enrolled in your first undergraduate degree

Application checklist

Include the following with your application:

  • a personal statement illustrating your financial hardship
  • a budget outlining your annual expenses and any predicted earnings, including other scholarships or bursaries
  • a character reference
