The Vice-Chancellor released a curriculum transformation discussion document for feedback on 11 June. The purpose of this document is to establish a core set of principles, approaches and design elements which will underpin all programme and qualification development at Massey. It will provide guidance to those who do this work, clarifying what is distinctive about the Massey approach, and establishing a pathway to achieving our ambitions for the future.

This document has been presented to invite discussion and input from students and staff across the university. The aim is to develop an approach to teaching and learning that is not only financially sustainable, but student-centered, sufficiently flexible to meet discipline requirements and benchmarks as well as those of regulatory and accrediting bodies, and appropriate to our modes of study and our campuses. The document touches on all aspects of our teaching and learning provision.

The student experience sits at the heart of this discussion document, and we need to hear from you. We want your feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of the proposals in the document. We encourage you to engage with this process through the focus groups which will be run early in July and August, or via the online feedback submission form.

Consultation on this first draft document closes on Monday 31 August 2024.

Let us know what you think about the discussion document.
