English language and agri-environmental science course

English language and agri-environmental science course This course introduces learners to ecology, plant science, natural resource management and regional environmental studies in the New Zealand context.

Learners will improve their English language proficiency alongside the agri-environmental science topics and gain hands on experience through lectures and visits to area farms, orchards and factories.

This 15 week course is aimed at second and third-year university students. 

Professional development in a New Zealand context

Professional development in a New Zealand context Through workshops, discussions, industry site visits, you'll gain valuable insights and expand your professional network.

In this course, we will explore specialty topics with industry leaders and Massey experts who share their insights and practical experience. Through workshops, round table discussions, industry site visits and cultural field trips, you'll gain a deeper understanding of your field through a New Zealand lens.

This 1 to 2 week course is ideal for government officials, senior leaders, teachers or academic staff. 

Subject short course with English language support

Subject short course with English language support Boost your English and subject knowledge in this 3 week course taught by academic subject specialists along with English language experts.

This course includes 20 hours of weekly lectures, workshops, and language support in a fun, immersive environment.

Our integrated language classes focus on skills development, especially speaking and listening, drawing on the subject content.

Subject areas include sustainability, food science, leadership and diversity, agri-science, creativity and culture and more.

Site visits, cultural field trips and sporting activities are included.

This course is ideal for high school and university learners.

Improving productivity in the ASEAN agricultural sector

Improving productivity in the ASEAN agricultural sector Learn about food and agribusiness value chains from academic experts in our School of Agriculture and Environment.

Participants will meet a variety of local producers and distributors including Fonterra and government agencies including the New Zealand Ministry for Primary Industries.

This course includes group projects designed to build skills and enable immediate implementation of knowledge.

This 2 week professional development course is for people working in all aspects of the agriculture sector. 

Developing speakers of other languages teaching skills

Developing speakers of other languages teaching skills TESOL teachers gain knowledge of teaching in New Zealand to develop their pedagogy skills in theory and practice.

Participants will visit local primary and secondary schools, and take part in workshops, group presentations and self directed study activities.

This course offers the options of facilitated online sessions or on-demand content.

This course is designed for TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) teachers.

New Zealand summer or winter experience

New Zealand summer or winter experience We organise study tours in New Zealand for university or high school groups looking for an overseas experience.

Students take part in classes tailored around their academic needs. Academic studies can be combined with English language, project work, field trips and sightseeing, cultural or sporting activities and a New Zealand homestay experience. 

Study tours can vary between 1 to 4 weeks.

If your short course is in person, you will experience New Zealand's nature, culture, and tourism, and the New Zealand context will also be reflected in our online delivery.
