The Demetrians Agricultural Bursary was developed in 2020 to make use of funds that had been invested for many years following the dissolution of the Demetrians AgHort Faculty Association, an agricultural social club that was active in the former Faculty of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences until the 1990s.

What you'll be studying

This is an undergraduate scholarship. You will be studying for a bachelor degree in agriculture, horticulture, agribusiness, or animal science, preferably in your first or second year.

Eligibility criteria

You will be a New Zealand-born student facing unexpected financial hardship.

When selecting our recipient, we will consider your demonstrated financial hardship and the unexpected nature of this. Your interest in pursuing a career in agriculture or horticulture will also be taken into consideration.
