The GCSB Women in STEM Scholarship supports female tertiary students intending to take a full-time course of study in science, technology, computer engineering, mathematics, data science and cyber security at any New Zealand tertiary institution.

Who we're looking for

To be eligible for the GCSB Tertiary Scholarship, applicants must be:

  • A student aged over the age of 18 years who identifies as female
  • In your second, or subsequent year of full time tertiary study (including Honours, Masters and PhD students)
  • Have enrolled, or been accepted into a full time degree majoring in science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) at an approved NZQA accredited tertiary provider in New Zealand for the next academic year. Note: the STEM disciplines we are interested in include computer science, cyber security, technology, mathematics, computer engineering, and data science.
  • A New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

Open to those who identify as female in their second year of tertiary and above (including Honours, Masters and PhD) intending to take a full-time course of study in computer science, cyber security, technology, mathematics, computer engineering or data science at any New Zealand tertiary institution.
