This scholarship was established in recognition of the valuable contribution made by Associate Professor John P. Skipworth to the Department of Botany and Zoology from 1960 to 1991. The funds for the scholarship have been provided from royalties received by Dr Nelson Pomeroy through his research on bumble bees and pollination.
