This scholarship is supported by funds accumulated under the Trade for Training Scheme established by Associate Professor Alex Chu between 1988 and 1996. It is named after Professor John Hodgson, former Head of the Agronomy Department at Massey University, in recognition of his leadership of, and contribution to, numerous pastoral projects conducted in China managed by Dr Chu. These projects included a United Nations Development Programme project in Guizhou.

  • a statement on how receiving this scholarship would be of benefit to you and your study, and how you believe you meet the intentions of this award. You should comment on the relevance of your study to pastoral science
