Application dates
This scholarship provides support for students enrolled in their postgraduate studies at Massey University – with a particular focus on students working on rainbow-related research or with a demonstrable passion for and commitment to takatāpui and rainbow inclusion.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be:
- Working on rainbow-related research (i.e. research that pertains to people and communities of minority sexualities, genders, and diverse sex characteristics) and/or
- Able to demonstrate a passion for and commitment to takatāpui and rainbow inclusion.
- eligible and intending to enrol full-time or part-time in their postgraduate studies on the Manawatū, Albany, Wellington campus and/or online.
Selection considerations
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate:
- academic achievement.
- participation in community service or community engagement (e.g., involved in takatāpui and rainbow community organisations).
- a rainbow-related research focus that is well-proposed and considers intersectionality and inclusion.
The scholarship is awarded by the Rainbow New Zealand Charitable Trust with input from the Massey University Rainbow and Takatāpui Advisory Group.
