The Massey University Undergraduate First Year scholarship support school leavers to undertake university study for the first time. These scholarships are designed to acknowledge excellence and enable equitable access to study for all students new to Massey undergraduate study

Who we're looking for

You will be in your final year of high school this year, or have completed your high school study last year, and be looking to study at Massey next year.

What you'll be studying

You will be intending to enrol, full time or part time, in the first year of a Massey University undergraduate degree at any of our campuses, or online.

Eligibility criteria

You will be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident who is currently studying NCEA Level 3, or equivalent, or who completed NCEA Level 3, or equivalent, last year.

Include the following with your application:

  • Transcripts for your secondary school results. If you are studying NCEA please attach your School results Summary from the NZQA website at https://secure.nzqa.govt.nz/for-learners/records/login.do . On the My School Entries and Results page, click the 'view as pdf' (button on the right-hand side) to save this document.

Selection considerations

When choosing our recipients we will consider your NCEA Level 2, or equivalent, results. You will normally be expected to have NCEA Level 2 endorsed in Excellence (or equivalent for non-NCEA qualifications).
