Eligibility restrictions: New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Pacific descent. Specific programmes only.

These scholarships were created in 2019 by Massey University alumni, Ross and Stephanie McEwan. Stephanie McEwan (née Duncan) graduated with a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) majoring in Food Technology in 1978, and Ross with a Bachelor of Business Studies majoring in Industrial Relations in 1980.

We're looking for someone of Pacific Island descent who has evidence of good citizenship or community service.

What you'll be studying

These are undergraduate scholarships. You will be enrolled in one of the following programmes:

  • Bachelor of Nursing
  • Bachelor of Agricultural Science
  • Bachelor of AgriBusiness
  • Bachelor of Horticultural Science
  • Bachelor of Veterinary Science
  • Bachelor of Information Science
  • Bachelor of Aviation
  • Bachelor of Food Technology
  • Bachelor of Engineering

Application checklist

  • a copy of your High School results or transcripts for any study completed outside of Massey University
  • a personal statement on how this scholarship would help you succeed in your study. Please provide information on your current financial situation and any financial need, including both incoming support and outgoing expenses
  • one character reference commenting on your good citizenship or community service
  • one academic reference commenting on your academic ability and achievements
