PhD or Master's scholarship opportunity: Māori business, workplace equity and social mobility

A funded PhD or Master's opportunity is available to contribute to a Kaupapa Māori qualitative research stream within a wider project on occupational mobility and equal opportunity in Aotearoa New Zealand. The student will work with Professor Matthew Roskruge and Māori research partners to examine how Māori businesses and Māori business leaders understand and respond to barriers and enablers to social and occupational mobility. The project may involve interviews, wānanga, case studies and organisational analysis, with a focus on Māori values, leadership, workplace practices and pathways to more equitable outcomes.

This opportunity would suit a student interested in Māori business, Māori economic development, Indigenous research methods, workplace equity, social mobility, or applied economics/social science.

Both doctoral and master's students are encouraged to apply.

For more information or to apply for this scholarship, please contact Professor Matt Roskruge at m.roskruge@massey.ac.nz
