The Lawson-Smith Freemasons Education Trust Scholarship

Four scholarships of $10,000 are available to students who are active in their communities and who are enrolled in their 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Massey University.

These scholarships have been established under the terms of the Will of the late Max Lawson-Smith, to help Massey University veterinary students.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for high achieving students who are active in the cultural and/or sporting life of their communities or campuses.

Eligibility criteria

You must:

  • be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
  • be enrolled in specific programmes
  • be in the third, fourth or fifth year of your degree depending on the programme
  • have a proven community commitment
  • have a grade point average as specified in this award's regulations.

When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic achievements, good character and citizenship, and your involvement in the cultural and/or sporting life of your community or campus.
