Information about the Disability Services Privacy Statement.

The personal information you disclose to us is treated as confidential and not available to anyone outside of Disability Services, except with your consent. We will only override this when there is a serious concern for your health or safety, or the health or safety of someone else, or when there is a legal duty to provide health information.

When you complete registration with Disability Services this information is held separately and confidentiality with Disability Services and does not form part of your general university enrolment, or university enrolment records.

We are bound by the rules of the Health Information Privacy Code and the Health Act regarding the collection, storage, and access to your personal information. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong. If you would like us to do this, please email disabilities@massey.ac.nz. We’ll respond to your request as soon as is reasonably practicable and no later than 20 working days after we receive it.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you think we have breached, or may have breached, your privacy. You can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.
