Free How to Gym training

Our How to Gym training programme is ideal for beginners and is free when you become a member of the Massey University Gym in Wellington.

The How to Gym training programme aims to give you the skills and confidence you need to thrive in your workouts. Over 12 sessions with a trainer, you will learn a range of core gym movements and principles.

Your trainer will work with you to understand what your goals are and base the sessions on what will be useful to you.

What to expect

  • 30 minute workouts
  • Trainer support at every session
  • A mixture of solo training sessions and small group sessions with others at your level.

Personal training

The team at Massey Gym can develop personalised fitness solutions for you. Whether you’ve got a specific fitness goal, need some extra accountability, or are looking for someone to help translate your physio exercises into practice, we can help.

Personal training sessions involve working one-on-one with a senior fitness instructor to make sure you are getting the most out of your time here. Often people elect to have one personal training session a week and follow up with one or two sessions by themselves.

  • 30 minutes - $30
  • 60 minutes - $50
