Terms and Conditions of Acceptance of Offer of Place in a Qualification , Ngā Tikanga me ngā Āhuatanga o te Whakaaetanga

Process for Studying at Massey University

1. I understand that I will not be able to study at Massey University until I am enrolled and I will not be enrolled at Massey University until I have received and accepted, in the manner prescribed by Massey University:

a. an Offer of Place in a qualification; and

b. an Offer of Enrolment; and

until such times (if any) that Massey University issues me with a Confirmation of Enrolment.

2. I also understand that I must satisfy all conditions required by Massey University to be satisfied and specified in any Offer of Place in a qualification and specified in any Offer of Enrolment unless any such conditions are waived in writing by Massey University.

General

In accepting this Offer of a Place in a qualification:

1. I am solely responsible for ensuring that any Offer of Place I accept is for a qualification that I am eligible to study and wish to study.
2. I have read and understood the qualification regulations available in the Massey University Calendar and I understand that qualification regulations and qualification content may change (including course content) and that I am not entitled to compensation for any such changes.
3. I acknowledge that there is no representation by Massey University that it will still offer the qualification/courses at the date that I become enrolled. I also understand that Massey University may, at its sole discretion, cancel any qualification/courses whether partially completed by me or not even after I am admitted and/or enrolled and even after Massey University issues me with a written Confirmation of Enrolment (if any). If Massey University cancels a qualification and/or course that I am enrolled in and which I have not undertaken or if Massey University postpones the start date of any qualification and/or course and a new start date does not suit me I will receive a refund of fees paid for the courses which I have not undertaken and were enrolled in at the time of the cancellation. I will not receive any compensation.
4. I understand that if I do not accept the Offer of Place in a qualification on or before the date specified in any Offer of Place, then at any time before my acceptance Massey University may, by notice in writing to me, withdraw the Offer of Place in the qualification.
5. I understand that if after I have accepted this Offer of Place in a qualification, and if I no longer wish to study that qualification, but wish to study a different qualification at Massey University, I must submit another Admission Application.
6. If I study and complete the qualification listed in my Offer of Place and if Massey University awards me that qualification, I agree that Massey University is not warranting that I will be registered in any particular profession/occupation or that I will be able to practice in any particular profession/occupation. Entry into any profession/occupation is subject to the applicable laws, regulations and rules of the profession/occupation concerned.
7. If I am an international student, I understand that I must pay to Massey University all tuition fees and other fees prescribed by Massey University at the time I accept this Offer of Place.
8. I agree that if I was under 18 years old when I submitted my Admission Application, but I am 18 years old or older at the date of acceptance of this Offer of Place in a Qualification, then in accepting this Offer of Place in a Qualification I also agree to the Terms and Conditions and Declaration stated or referred to on my Admission Application.

Studying a Massey University qualification from overseas

1. When I am studying a Massey University qualifications where I attend block courses or other qualification requirements outside New Zealand (other than in a University student exchange arrangement), I acknowledge that:
   1. if I am an international student, despite clause 2.7 of these Terms and Conditions of Acceptance of Offer of Place in a Qualification, Massey University may direct me, in writing, to pay all tuition fees and other fees prescribed by Massey University upon my acceptance of this offer to an entity other than Massey University and if that occurs I agree to do so;
   2. my offer of a place in a qualification may be subject to me also being admitted and enrolled with another provider of education in the country where I attend block courses or qualification requirements if advised by Massey University in writing;
   3. if I am required to be admitted and enrolled with another provider of education and education services (and each of them) I understand that I must comply with my enrolment agreement with that other provider.
   4. if I am an student studying in person offshore, a different refund policy may apply to me from students studying in person at Massey University in New Zealand or solely online, in which case I acknowledge that Massey University has informed me, in writing, of that different refund policy before I have accepted this offer of place in a qualification.

Acceptance of Offer of Place in a Qualification Declaration

In submitting this acceptance of an Offer of Place in a qualification:

1. I have read, understood and agree to the Terms and Conditions of Acceptance of Offer of Place in a Qualification.
2. I agree that the Terms and Conditions on the Admission Application also apply and form part of my agreement with Massey University.
