Statement of account

Find out how to access, download and understand your statement of account.

Your statement of account provides a summary of all your financial transactions with us. It lists invoices, payments, credits and debits, and shows the current outstanding balance.

You can access and download your statement of account by logging in to the student portal and clicking on the Fees and finance tab.

Understanding your statement of account

Your statement of account is made up of 3 sections:

  • balances overview
  • invoices and receipts
  • transaction details.

Balances overview

This section provides you with an overview of your balances, including amounts due now, due in the future, or overdue. The headings of the columns have the following meaning.

Column heading Description
Over 90 days The amount is now 90 or more days overdue
Over 60 days The amount is now 60 to 89 days overdue
Over 30 days The amount is now 30 to 59 days overdue
Current The amount is now due
Balance due The balance due (the total of current, 30 days, 60 days and 90 days)
Future The future balance owing, for example the next semesters' tuition fees
Total balance The total balance owing including all overdue, current and future balances

Invoices/Receipts

This section includes details of the amounts for your invoices, receipts and credit notes.

A credit note is an adjustment to your account based on a change to the balance owing. For example, if you withdraw from a course on time, the reversal of fees will show as a credit note. This is not an amount that we owe you.

The headings of the columns have the following meaning.

Date Date of the transaction
Document type Type of transaction, eg invoice, credit note
Reference Transaction reference number
Bank reference Payment details
Original amount Original amount of the transaction
Allocated amount Amount allocated to an invoice and/or credit note
Outstanding amount Balance outstanding for each invoice or credit note

CPSXXXXX Payments made by credit or debit card in the student portal
RCTXXXXX Payments made through BayCorp
CSHXXXXX Payments made with cash on campus at Campus Information Services
CHQXXXXX Payments made via a cheque on campus at Campus Information Services
CRDXXXXX Credit or debit card payments made by EFTPOS at on campus at Campus Information Services

Transaction details

This section includes detailed information about your transactions.

Column heading Description
Date Date of transaction
Doc reference The code in this column corresponds with the reference number in the Invoice/Receipts section
Item reference A reference number for the item
Bank reference Payment details
Details Details about what the transaction was for, eg course tuition fee
Debit Amount owed
Credit Amount paid
