Request readmission after an academic exclusion

We’ll use this information to connect you with a student achievement coach. We’ll also identify which Massey services can support you if your request to return is successful.

What to expect from the readmission process

After submitting this form, you can expect to hear back from an Achievement Coach within 10 working days. You will need to meet with an Achievement Coach to discuss your readmission to study.

After you have met with your coach, the Academic Progress Committee will consider your application. This may involve referral to other support services.

The entire readmission process can take up to six weeks.

Before your appointment with an Achievement coach

Before you meet your coach, think about how your circumstances have changed since your last period of study and what you have put in place to support your successful study in the future. This should include:

  • why you want to return to study
  • what you have done to make sure the issues which impacted your study before are now resolved, including the strategies you have put in place to prevent this happening again in future
  • how you think these measures will make your return to study successful
  • any academic or job-related performance since your exclusion.
