Steve Adams, owner of Esco Industries, has a strong connection to Palmerston North, and to Massey University where he studied for his Bachelor of Technology (Hons) majoring in Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. Steve graduated with First Class Honours and was awarded the IRHACE Award for his final-year project.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone with career aspirations who has significant work experience and is passionate about contributing to business. You will want to travel to Australia and visit Esco Industries during your tenure.
Successful recipients will:
- be expected to attend a two-day visit to Esco Industries, Australia, to meet with senior Esco staff. Funding may be available to support travel and accommodation.
- have the opportunity to engage with Esco Industries and contribute to a consultancy-style research report with the topic to be agreed upon by Esco Industries.
- be encouraged to attend an Outward-Bound course. Funding of up to $6,000 may be available to support attendance.
- submit a short annual report to the donor, summarizing progress, and learnings.
What you'll be studying
You will be enrolling in an MBA or an EMBA at Massey University.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
- be New Zealand or Australian citizens
- be enrolled or intending to enrol in the MBA or EMBA at Massey University
- have at least 7 years’ business/industry experience
- hold a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
