Mr Mathrani investigated how commercial organizations derive business benefits from utilization of an enterprise system and its information, its impact on various functions and processes, and the critical success factors for this process. Findings reveal that New Zealand firms lack in producing value assessments that often lead to weak business cases which cannot be used for benefit tracking. These organizations are now establishing analytical and knowledge-leveraging processes to optimize and realize business value from their enterprise system. Mr Mathrani’s research offers valuable insight to organizational leaders who want to formulate a strategy for maximizing benefits from their enterprise system investment.
