Thesis Title
Least-squares Optimal Interpolation for Direct Image Super-resolution
Read article at Massey Research Online:
Mr Gilman''sresearch focused on developing a fast algorithm for creating a high-resolution digital image from a number of low-resolution images of the same scene, taken from slightly different perspectives. He employed the technique of linear least squares to solve the problem in linear time using an analysis of the bias inherent in the imaging process. His solution was shown to perform better than a number of current methods using a quantitative comparison.
