Living Lab grew out of three fruitful partnerships with local government, developed through the university’s Challenging Sustainability project. It proved that innovative solutions emerge when designers and social scientists get together with city planners and community members to look at complicated issues afresh.
Devnet (Development Studies Network of Aotearoa New Zealand) organises a national conference every two years to bring together academics, students, development practitioners and policy makers. Its website provides links to international development research conducted in New Zealand.

EUCN (New Zealand European Union Centres Network) is a network of New Zealand’s universities that aims to combine research, teaching and outreach on the impact, role and understanding of the European Union within New Zealand and the Pacific region. It is multidisciplinary and involves economics, politics, security, innovation, development, democratic values and people and cultures.

NZADDs (New Zealand Aid and Development Dialogues) works to promote dialogue and critical thinking about New Zealand’s role in international development. Its website contains press releases and working papers relating to changes in the New Zealand aid programme, as well as links to international websites reporting on effective aid delivery.
The New Zealand India Research Institute (NZIRI) is the national centre for India Studies in New Zealand. It comprises a consortium of scholars based at New Zealand universities focused on research in and on India.
