Qualifications are made up of courses. Some universities call these papers. Each course is numbered using six digits.
Level
The fourth number of the course code shows the level of the course. For example, in course 219206, the fourth number is a 2, so it is a 200-level course (usually studied in the second year of full-time study).
Credits
Each course is worth a number of credits. You combine courses (credits) to meet the total number of credits needed for your qualification.

- 1 Evaluate how typical diets for animals differ in their chemical composition. Outline the most common feed ingredients in animal diets.
- 2 Illustrate how feeds and feedstuffs are analysed for chemical composition.
- 3 Apply knowledge of the physical and chemical characteristics of different feedstuffs in animal feed.
- 4 Utilise knowledge of feed preservation and feed processing technology to animal feeds, and recognise and understand the effects preservation and processing has on the nutritive value of feeds and animal performance and thus farm productivity.
- 5 Integrate the scientific and technical principles of animal nutrition, feeds, feed technology and feeding management.

- Field trips, field work, placements, seminars, workshops, voluntary work, and other activities.
- Simulation
- Technology-based or experience-based simulations.
- Test
- Laboratory, online, multi-choice, short answer, spoken, and other tests – arranged by the school.

- Essays, group or individual projects, proposals, reports, reviews, writing exercises, and other written assignments.
