  • 1 Describe a farm including the goals and objectives of the manager, the farm plan, state of development (land and capital items, including livestock) and the succession plan.
  • 2 Assess farm performance using analytical techniques including stock reconciliation, cash-flow forecast, tax estimates and investment analysis.
  • 3 Code expenditure and income suitable for computer based accounting packages.
  • 4 Prepare a whole farm business plan that fully utilises available physical and financial resources and assess its financial performance.
  • 5 Prepare a farm management plan taking into account physical, legal, financial and environmental constraints.
