218.328 Ethics and Professional Practice (15 credits)

The course provides knowledge on the principles of professional ethics and practice in the construction industry. Students review related professional codes of ethical conduct; work through practical ethical decision making; ethical rights and responsibilities; health and safety issues and employment relations. The course covers trust and relationships amongst construction practitioners; managing disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and statutory adjudication; ethical practices within digital environments with highly integrated supply chains; and setting up and managing of construction businesses.
