This course focuses on a particular aspect of creative media production at introductory level focusing on digital platforms or technologies to result in outputs that demonstrate creativity and/or innovation. Offerings change from year to year and the course may not be offered in a particular year.
Introduction to Digital Character Production Pipeline
In this course students will be introduced to techniques of creating a digital character for animation and games. Students will gain a basic knowledge and understanding of how to model, unwrap, texture, rig and skin weight a character using Maya.
This course is ideally suited to students and professionals interested in character animation for film and games. While this is an introduction course, a basic knowledge of character design and/or 3D creation would be an advantage.
