289.291 Creative Media Production Special Topic 2b (15 credits)
This course focuses on a particular aspect of creative media production at intermediate level focusing on digital platforms or technologies to result in well-developed outputs that demonstrate creativity and/or innovation. Offerings change from year to year and the course may not be offered in a particular year.
Note(s): Topic for 2020: Applied Colour GradingThis course focuses on intermediate to advanced post-production workflow using the software DaVinci Resolve16. The course will focus on developing a thorough understanding of the colour management process throughout post-production. From media management to media delivery, all the way through editing, FX and audio mixing. In this course, we will also look into colour theory, manipulating narrative through colour schemes and palettes, acquisition codecs and hardware interface tools.Appropriate prior study: 45 credits at 100-level
General Prerequisite: At least 45 credits from 100 level.
