Ms. Isidro has been working on estimation procedures for generating local level poverty statistics in Third World countries. Existing estimation techniques requires a survey and a census data, however in most Third World countries a census is only conducted once in every decade. Ms Isidro developed a feasible and theoretically sound method for generating local level estimates of poverty statistics in Third World countries during non-census or intercensal years.
