Bula Vinaka, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Fakatalofa atu, Kia orana, Mālō e lelei, Mālō nī,Talofa lava, Aloha, Hai, Halo, Tēnā koutou katoa and warm Pacific greetings to you all.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Pasifika @ Massey where we celebrate success and achievement. We are committed to helping you realise your academic aspirations and to providing services that support Pasifika students, whether you have chosen to study on-campus or by distance learning.
This site includes information that will help you on your academic journey and connect you with our many services. Our Pasifika staff are empathetic to student needs as they understand the diverse backgrounds and values of Pasifika students, so please do not hesitate to ask for help or support.
Massey University was the first university to recognise the importance of the ever-growing Pasifika communities when we introduced a Pasifika strategy for student and academic success in 2007.
In 2013 the Pasifika@Massey Strategy: Growing Pearls of Wisdom outlined a strategic framework to support the educational aspirations and economic needs of Pasifika communities, and in 2020 work will begin on a new strategy under the leadership of the new Dean, Pasifika, and the team at the Office of Pasifika Student Success.
We are more committed than ever to ensuring Massey University plays its part in supporting the development of Pasifika peoples with relevant research and highly qualified graduates.
I know your time at Massey will be truly rewarding because we will work together to ensure it.
