- 1 Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the aetiology, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, nutritional implications and principles of management of prevalent nutrition related conditions.
- 2 Apply the nutrition care process (NCP) and International Dietetic and Nutrition Terminology in the provision of medical nutrition therapy for a range of nutrition-related conditions in infants, children and adults in diverse cultural environments within Aotearoa New Zealand.
- 3 Apply comprehensive screening and nutritional assessments relevant to nutrition-related conditions.
- 4 Use an evidence-based and interprofessional approach to design appropriate nutrition interventions, including monitoring, compliance and evaluation to improve the nutritional well-being of individuals, whānau or populations.
