Community Accounting Service - Auckland

Massey University provides free financial advice to non-profit community groups through the Community Accounting Service in Auckland. Accountancy students work under the supervision of a chartered accountant to provide advice, training and support services. There are also free, regular clinics for treasurers and board members of small to medium-sized community groups.

Accountancy student clubs

Student societies are a great way to enhance your CV and get involved in more academic, professional and social activities. There are accountancy clubs on two of our campuses.

Business internship

Many of our business qualifications offer an internship course or work placement as part of your study. You could get the opportunity to work in a company on a live project and apply the skills you are learning. This is invaluable experience, looks great on your CV and gives you great contacts in industry.

Community Accounting Service

Accountancy students get the opportunity to participate in the Massey University 'Community Accounting Service'. This provides free financial advice to non-profit community groups in Auckland, Palmerston North and by distance. You'll work under supervision of a chartered accountant to help these groups.

Student exchange

As a Massey student you may be able to spend some time studying at a university overseas which will still count towards your degree. We have world-class partner universities in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia. Student exchange is a reciprocal programme so the number of places available for each partner university is determined by the number of Massey students going on exchange to that university.
