The Postgraduate Diploma in Business - Professional Accountancy (Chartered Accountant) is a professional postgraduate diploma incorporating the CA Program. It will propel you towards a career as a Chartered Accountant, with academic support along the way. After completion of this qualification, the only remaining requirement for full CA designation is the mentored practical experience.

The diploma is open to graduates with a bachelor’s degree in accountancy who have completed all the academic requirements of CA ANZ

Planning information

If you study full-time, you’ll take 120 credits in 1 year (60 credits per semester).

  • 115758 Interpersonal Communication (15 credits), or
  • 115759 Current Issues in Business (15 credits)

These courses are accredited by CA ANZ.

Admission to Massey

All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.

Specific requirements

To enter the Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Professional Accountancy (Chartered Accountant)) you will have:

  • been awarded or qualified for the Massey Bachelor of Accountancy or Massey Bachelor of  Business, and
  • met all CA ANZ academic requirements*

*Courses that meet CA ANZ academic requirements: 110109, 110209, 110229, 110249, 110279, 110289, 110309, 110329, 115112, 115113, 115211, 125230, 155203, 155210 and 161101 (or 161111 or 110304).
