Accommodation is available at all 3 Massey campuses. Apply online as soon as applications open for the best chance of securing a place. Read the steps carefully before starting your application.

- 1 August – Full year and Semester One (following year)
- 1 April – Semester Two (current year)
Offers released:
- From 1 October – Full year and Semester One
- From 1 May – Semester Two

Prepare your application
Register with the Accommodation Portal
Before you can apply, you need to register with the online Accommodation Portal using your personal email address. This email will be your login username and the main way we communicate with you during the process.
In the Portal, you can:
- save an application and return later
- check the status of your application
- read the terms of your Residential Agreement
- review and accept your Offer of Place.

What you’ll need to provide
As part of your application, we'll ask you to tell us about your health, wellbeing, accessibility requirements, disability and any dietary needs. Sharing this information helps us understand any support or reasonable adjustments you may require, so we can work with you to provide the best possible residential experience.
We'll also ask about your interests, hobbies, lifestyle and living preferences. This information helps us get to know you better, supports the creation of positive residential communities and assists us, where possible, to allocate accommodation that best matches your preferences.
Apply for Massey accommodation
Applying for accommodation is easy. Simply follow the 3 steps below.
1, Submit your application
Complete your application online through the Accommodation Portal.
- Log in to the Accommodation Portal.
- Complete the online application.
- Rank your preferred accommodation options. While we'll make every effort to offer your first preference, allocations are subject to availability.
2, Accept your Offer of Accommodation
If your application is successful, you'll receive an Offer of Accommodation by email.
Offers are released weekly from:
- 1 October for Semester One and Full Year applications.
- 1 May for Semester Two applications.
If your preferred accommodation is unavailable, you may be placed on a waitlist and offered a room if one becomes available.
Before accepting your offer, please ensure you have:
- read and understood the Residential Agreement
- reviewed the Accommodation Handbook
- considered the accommodation fees and confirmed they are affordable for you.
Please note: Accepting your Offer of Accommodation creates a legally binding fixed-term Residential Agreement.
3, Secure your room
To confirm your place in Massey Halls, you must:
- complete your Residential Agreement
- pay the required accommodation deposit by the deadline stated in your offer.
Once your place has been confirmed, we'll send you everything you need to prepare for moving into Massey Halls, including arrival information, approximately 6 weeks before Arrival Day.
