Each apartment features 2 shared bathrooms, a furnished shared living area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Internet/wifi access and Massey gym membership are included.
Enjoy access to facilities and common areas within Te Ōhanga Village, including Te Rito with its TV lounge, laundry facilities, patio, and games rooms.
Matipo, Tītoki and Tānekaha apartments are conveniently located close to student facilities, including Student Central, the library, lecture theatres, and the recreation centre, as well as buses to Auckland city centre.
Accessible accommodation options are available for students with accessibility requirements.

Designed for communal living, the apartment layout promotes comfort, functionality and convenience, so you can make the most of your shared living spaces while enjoying personal privacy in your individual bedrooms.
Each apartment has 4 to 5 single or double-sized bedrooms. Each room is designed for single occupancy, and includes:
- King single bed (single room) or queen bed (double room) – complete with a comfortable mattress and mattress protector for a good night's sleep.
- Study area – study from the comfort of your own room. Your room includes a designated study desk, chair, and desk light.
- Shelf, pinboard, and wardrobe with a mirror – you will have plenty of storage space for your clothes, books, and personal items.
- Heater – for a cozy and comfortable living environment year-round.
- Privacy and security – enjoy peace of mind with a lockable door, ensuring privacy and security for each resident.

Furnished with sofas, a dining table and a TV, the living area provides a welcoming space for residents to relax, socialise, and entertain guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking and dining at home, including a cooktop, oven, combined fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster, and jug. Pots, pans and utensils are provided.
Essential household items such as a Dyson vacuum, broom, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket, ironing board, and iron are also available in the apartment. It is your responsibility to keep your living space clean and organised.

By bringing along these essential items, you'll be well-prepared for your stay in Matipo, Tītoki and Tānekaha apartments and can settle in comfortably from day one:
- Bedding and towels – ensure a comfortable sleep by bringing your own bedding, including sheets, blankets, and pillows. Don't forget to pack towels for personal use.
- Clothing hangers – keep your wardrobe organized with clothing hangers for hanging clothes in your wardrobe.
- Toiletries and toiletries bag – bring along your toiletries, such as toothpaste, shampoo, and soap, and store them in a toiletries bag for easy access.
- Laundry basket – stay organized with a laundry basket for collecting dirty clothes and transporting them to the laundry facilities.
- Laundry powder – stock up on laundry powder to keep your clothes clean and fresh throughout your stay.
- Cleaning products – keep your living space tidy by bringing cleaning products such as surface cleaner and wipes.

- Electric fan – while each room has an opening window, you may also wish to bring an electric fan to cool your room during the summer months.
- Small fridge – consider bringing a small fridge with a capacity of around 47L to store snacks and beverages. Remember to place it on a waterproof mat to prevent damage to the floor.

Payment options
- Full pre-payment: Pay your entire accommodation fees in one payment, either by semester or for the full year.
- Semester payments: Pay your accommodation fees in two instalments, one prior to the start of each semester.
- Weekly payments (domestic students only): Domestic students may choose to pay via direct debit, with an advance payment followed by weekly instalments.

If your application for accommodation is successful, you will receive an official offer. To secure your place in the halls, you must:
- Pay the required deposit
- Complete and return the Residential Agreement
Both must be completed by the offer expiry date stated in your offer letter.
Please note: this deposit is in addition to your Accommodation Fees.

Payment options
Payment methods and deadlines will be outlined in your offer letter. Once your deposit has been received and processed, you will receive:
- A confirmation of place
- Your Accommodation Fees invoice
- Further instructions about move-in dates and procedures
Withdrawal and refund eligibility
Withdrawal and refund eligibility
To secure a refund of the bond, mattress protector fee and activity fee, you must cancel in writing before the specified deadline. The processing fee is non-refundable and will not be included in the refund amount.
Withdrawal deadline
- Returning halls residents – cancellations must be received in writing by 1 December 2025.
- New hall residents – cancellations must be received in writing by 23 January 2026.
