Conditions of use for booking Massey Recreation Centre facilities - Ngā heipūtanga mō te tāpui i ngā wāhi o Te Whare Rēhia o Manawatū

Use of facilities at the Massey Sport and Recreation Centre is subject to the following conditions to ensure the safety, comfort and enjoyment of all users, spectators and athletes.

Bookings

• Users are liable for any damage to equipment or facilities beyond normal wear and tear.
• The person or group making the booking is responsible for ensuring all required health and safety documentation is completed and adhered to.
• Any additional cleaning required beyond normal expectations will be charged to the booking group.
• Users are responsible for the set-up and pack-down of their event, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• From time to time, changes to bookings may be required, particularly where weather conditions impact outdoor sports grounds.
• User charges are reviewed annually.
• Bookings cancelled within 48 hours of the event may incur a cancellation charge.
• Completion of a booking form does not guarantee a confirmed booking.

Events

• Glass bottles are prohibited in and on all facilities.
• The consumption of food and beverages (excluding water) is not permitted in indoor activity spaces, with the exception of the Activity Centre.
• Alcohol is prohibited on sports fields and in changing rooms.
• Alcohol may only be consumed in designated event areas and must be supplied through Wharerata.
• Users must ensure all rubbish, tape, clothing, and equipment are removed from the facility at the conclusion of use.

Health and safety

• Any faults with equipment or damage to facilities that could cause harm must be reported immediately to Sport and Recreation management.
• Users are required to supply their own first aid kits and ice.
• Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are located at the Recreation Centre. Users are primarily responsible for providing first aid and ongoing care for both participants and spectators.
• All accidents, injuries, or near misses must be reported to Recreation Centre reception staff, and an Incident Report Form must be completed.
• Children under the age of 15 must be actively supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
