Fee payment options

Once you have received your Confirmation of Enrolment you will be issued with an invoice which will detail when your fees are due.

You can pay your fees in a number of different ways:

Note: International students will need to pay fees in order to be issued a Receipt of Payment which is required for immigration purposes. The Receipt of Payment will be issued once your payment clears.

Credit card payment

You can pay your fees by credit card online from your student homepage. If you are in New Zealand you can pay in person at Campus Information Services at any Massey University campus. The University accepts Visa or MasterCard.

Internet banking

Either deposit directly into the Massey University Bank Account for Tuition and Enrolment Fees by entering the account number 02-0630-0016592-004


select one of the bill payment options for Massey University held at your bank:

  • Massey University - Student Fees (for Enrolment and Tuition Fees).
  • Massey University - Student Other (for other payments such as Library Fines or Student Health charges).

Telegraphic transfer - international students

Western Union Business Solution is Massey University’s preferred method of payment for international students. This payment option enables you to pay your fees online in your home currency. Students, parents and partners can pay NZD student fees by selecting the country you are paying from using this simple and secure payment platform.

Cheque/overseas bank draft

Note: Where possible the overseas bank cheque should be drawn on a New Zealand bank and in New Zealand dollars. Please mail all cheques, to Massey University, Private Bag 11222, Manawatu Mail Centre, Palmerston North 4442, New Zealand or pay in person at Campus Information Services at any Massey University campus. Please print your name, student ID (if known) and address on back of the cheque.

All cheques must be made payable to Massey University and crossed "Not Transferable". Please do not post-date cheques.


For students who are in New Zealand payment can be made by EFTPOS at Campus Information Services at any Massey University campus.


Students whose fees are being paid by scholarship, will need to provide satisfactory evidence of the scholarship.in order for your enrolment to be completed (or for International students your Receipt of Payment to be issued).

Domestic students

The student loans scheme is run by StudyLink. They can assist you with student loan and student allowance enquiries.

International students

Information about USA and Canadian student loans are noted below:

Training Incentive Allowance (TIA)

TIA is available to some beneficiaries. For more details see the Work and Income website.

Employer paying

If your employer needs to be invoiced directly, this can be done by a purchase order. The following must be provided on the purchase order:

  • Company letterhead including full name and postal address
  • Email address for the invoice
  • Company contact name
  • Order number or identifier
  • Student name
  • Student ID number
  • Specific items to be invoiced (incl GST): eg
    • Enrolment Fee $60.00
    • Course 110.125 $1236.00
    • Course 154.256 $300.00 (part payment only)
